Our Mission

Catskills Alliance for Housing & Preservation (CAHP) is a new non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of the towns of Shandaken and Olive in Ulster County. The recently launched organization, which will operate in partnership with the town of Shandaken’s Housing Smart Task Force, will endeavor to expand housing inventory in our rural communities, and to develop and manage programs designed to help homeowners maintain their homes and remain there as they age. It will also support other economic revitalization and community preservation efforts that enhance the quality of life of our residents.

CAHP looks forward to collaborating with our local town governments, neighboring nonprofits, community groups, and other stakeholders to leverage resources and maximize the impact of preservation and development efforts.
